HOMESCHOOL RESOURCES WE HAVE USED AND LOVE!

CREATE YOUR OWN WORKSHEETS with WORKSHEETS.COM which is a FREE worksheet generator site. I have used this site to create copywork pages, spelling lists, review questions to check reading retention and more. The possibilities really are endless.

READING LISTS are a popular tool to have and it can get overwhelming searching for just the right one for your child. I have searched for reading lists for specific categories in specific subjects, specific age/grade levels, specific times in history, and on and on. Two of my favorite sites for reading lists are SONLIGHT and AMBLESIDEONLINE. Also, I have collected many lists during our 13+ years of homeschooling and they are available on my Pinterest board THE ENDLESS LISTS OF BOOK LISTS.

ART LESSONS are a super fun time in our homeschool! Chalk Pastels have been a favorite of ours for years. One of the sites we use for FREE lessons is HODGEpodge. They have over 100 art lessons for all ages. YouTube is also an awesome place to find free art lessons, Art History videos, and Museum Virtual Tours. Barbara McCoy has a site called Harmony Fine Arts at Home where your kiddos can get involved in Sketch Tuesday. For Sketch Tuesday Barbara sends you a weekly email with the assignment (the item to be sketched that week) then you email your sketch back to her and she creates a slideshow on her site with all of the drawings she receives. It’s a lot of fun for the kids to see their work displayed on the internet! She also has Music Appreciation Mondays.

FREE FULL CURRICULUM

EASY PEASY ALL-IN-ONE HOMESCHOOL was created by a homeschool mom of six who wanted to enable other families to homeschool who thought they couldn’t because of a lack of finances. This site goes through the 8th grade. EASY PEASY ALL-IN-ONE HIGHSCHOOL is the sister site which covers 9th through 12th grades. You can use the full curriculum or pick and choose the subjects you need.

AMBLESIDEONLINE is a free homeschool curriculum that uses Charlotte Mason’s classically-based principles to prepare children for a life of rich relationships with everything around them: God, humanity, and the natural world.

KHAN ACADEMY “offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more.”
